In 1970, there were two variants of the Cobra Jet/Super Cobra Jet H-pipe.
Early cars had H-pipes similar to the 1968.5/1969 variants. But mid-1970 Ford switched to a different passenger side exhaust manifold that no longer used a spacer, thereby requiring the H-pipe leg to become longer to make up the spacer difference.
