30 October 2010 -  The 1967/1968 2-inch Shelby/Mustang transverse mufflers have shipped to me and should arrive the middle of next week.  I should be shipping mufflers by the end of the week.

8 October 2010 -  The 1967/1968 2-inch Shelby/Mustang transverse mufflers are nearly finished.  The outer sheets have been stamped with the FoMoCo logo, part numbers, and date codes and several sample mufflers have been fabricated.  Production mufflers will be finished next week and should ship to me by the end of the week.

26 September 2010 -  I don't normally sell parts that I do not make, however, when I saw these I knew I had to have them.  A friend just finished making a small run of this impossible to find plastic part that is unique to 1968 Shelbys and Mustangs with air conditioning.  Concours exact reproduction of the unique plastic shield that attaches behind the two lower A/C condenser mounting screws.  This plastic part is frequently missing, damaged, faded from heat, brittle, or broken.  Used shields are extremely hard to find in usable condition.  The new shields are exactly like the originals and ready to install.  Price is $50/pair.

18 September 2010 - I picked up the remaining 1967/1968 2-inch Mustang transverse mufflers ebossing dies this week and shipped them to the muffler manufacturer.  The muffler manufacturer expects to run the mufflers in the next week (two weeks at the latest).

10 September 2010 - I picked up one of the 1967/1968/1969 2-inch Mustang transverse mufflers ebossing dies yesterday.  The rest of the dies will be done Monday ( still need to fo to heat-treat).  In the photos above you can see a sample stamping on very thin material and how it compares to an original.  Of course, the muffler material is much thicker and will not wrinkle.  I will get the embossing dies sent to the muffler manufacturer next week and then I should be in the muffler manufacture process soon after.

21 August 2010 - I have just finished making a run of 1968 Shelby console weatherstripping.  This is the piece that attaches to the top of the console above the gauges.  I copied the contour of an original piece of weather stripping, had a die made to match the contour, and then the material was extruded through the die like the original.  Exactly like the original weatherstripping, and never available until now.  One piece required per car.  Price per piece is $35.  Click here for more information and pictures.

14 August 2010 - The 1967/1968/1969 Mustang transverse mufflers are still not done.  I am currently waiting for the embossing dies to be finished.  The artwork for the male and female sides of the embossing dies is finished and the dies are being machined.  The photo above shows the artwork for the female side of the embossing die for the three different dies I am having made.  Click here for a photo of what an embossing die looks like for the 1968 mufflers I previously made.  I can't give a credible date for when the mufflers will be finished, but I am making good progress...it's just much slower than I anticipated.

9 July 2010 - Shown above are two pictures of the first prototype 2-inch transverse muffler that I received today.  This muffler is built completely from scratch to match the original transverse mufflers made by Arvin for Ford.  It is double-wrapped/seam-lock construction just like the originals and has a domed end-cap with extruded flanges and spot-welded inlet and outlet tubes...just like the originals.  I have some minor "tuning" to do, but the hard work is done.

I am in the process of making the embossing dies to stamp the part number, logo, and dates into the outer muffler sheet for 1967, 1968, and 1969 mufflers.

Right now I will make 67 mufflers with dates of 8-66, 12-66, and 1-67.  I have examples of original mufflers with those dates.  If you have an original muffler with a different date I'd appreciate seeing a picture of it (find me a different date and I'll give you a free muffler when they are finished).  If I can't find any other dates to copy, the three dates above will be the only ones I use.

The 1968 mufflers will have dates of 8-67, 12-67, and two other dates TBD.

The dates for the 1969 mufflers are still TBD.

These mufflers are correct for 1967 GT-500/350, 1967 GT w/dual exhaust, 1968 GT-500/350, 1968 GT w/dual exhaust, 1969 GT-350, and 1969 GT w/dual exhaust (non-CJ).

29 May 2010 - I have made another run of the 1968 Shelby and Mustang front parking light wiring clips.  These clips are specific to 1968 and have never been reproduced before.  EXACTLY like the originals.  Click here for more information and price.

27 May 2010 - The new 2-piece welded 1967 Shelby exhaust tips are finished and ready to ship.  These are concours correct for early (car serial number 1600 and earlier) 1967 Shelby GT-500s and GT-350s.  Never before reproduced and exactly like the originals...including the S7MS part number stamped on the tip.  Click here for more information and price.  I don't have very many pairs available, so get them while I still have them.

11 April 2010 - I have made another small run of 1968/1969 Mustang, Shelby, and Boss 429/302 front parking/marker light wiring clips.  Never reproduced until now.  Exactly like the originals.  Click here for more details.

28 March 2010 - The tooling for fabricating the Mustang 2-inch transverse mufflers is almost finished (see photos above).  These mufflers are correct for 1967 GT-500/350, 1967 GT w/dual exhaust, 1968 GT-500/350, 1968 GT w/dual exhaust, 1969 GT-350, and 1969 GT w/dual exhaust (non-CJ).  I hope to have sample parts in about 2-weeks, and a prototype muffler within a month.

6 March 2010 - The fabrication process for the one-piece1967 Shelby exhaust tips is complete.  The tooling and fixtures are done, and above are comparison pictures of an NOS original tip and one of the new chromed reproductions.  They are an EXACT match.  Price will be $285/pair.

7 February 2010 - I am in the process of making 1967 Shelby and 1968 Shelby exhaust tips.  There are three variants, 2-types for 1967, and 1-type for 1968.  I am making the hardest variant first, which is the one-piece 1967 Shelby chrome tip.  There was also an early 2-piece welded version in 1967, and a pipe-within-a-pipe version for 1968.  The tooling is nearly finished for the one-piece 1967 tip.  Some fine-tuning is required to get the contour exactly right, but the prototype (see above) is very close.  The lengths of the prototype are not important, that can be adjusted.  I hope to finalize the tooling this week and have a new prototype ready for chrome next week.

30 January 2010 - The 1967/1968 390/428 P.I. H-pipes are finished.  These are concours correct for 1967/1968 Shelby GT-500 w/428 P.I. and 1967/1968 Mustang with 390 GT & dual exhaust.  Guaranteed to fit just like the originals.  100% accurate bends with all factory features.  Available in aluminized or bare steel (like the originals).  See "Mustang Items for Sale" for more details

15 May 2010 - Parts for the Mustang/Boss/Shelby 2-inch transverse mufflers are being fabricated (see photos above).  The pictures above show the end-caps and internal plates.  There were some delays in getting the tooling absolutely perfect but those issues have now been resolved.  Progress should move more quickly now, but I do not have a date for completed mufflers...however, the bulk of the hard work should be behind us.  These mufflers are correct for 1967 GT-500/350, 1967 GT w/dual exhaust, 1968 GT-500/350, 1968 GT w/dual exhaust, 1969 GT-350, and 1969 GT w/dual exhaust (non-CJ).
